photograph vs memory

A photograph of a past experience is so much more powerful than a memory.

A memory can be manipulated, shifted and shaped to accomplish a desired feeling.

A photo can shock with the reality it depicts, the original, true feeling of the past.

A photo is sincere,
whereas a memory is constantly evolving inside, for the better or for worse.

So, no matter how hard it may be, it's always good to occasionally look at photos of past events
so one can realize where they have truly been and what the real circumstances were back then.
Thus if someone is only based on memories of the past, they need to be aware that they can be
cunningly deceived and misguided.

I have made that mistake once, won't happen again :)

..............................................
Once upon a time, there was an island where all the emotions lived.
There was Happiness, Sorrow, Wisdom, Love and all the others.
One day they learned that their island was going to sink and so they all fixed their boats and started leaving.

Love was the only one that stayed back. She wanted to last till the last moment.

When the island started sinking , love decided to ask for help.
She sees Wealth that was passing by with a shining boat. She asks him: "Wealth, can you take me with you?". "No, I can't", he replied. "I have silver and gold in my boat and there is no room for you".

Love then decided to ask for help from Vanity, that was also passing in front of her in a beautiful boat. "Please help me", Love said. "I can't help you , Love. You are wet and you will ruin my beautiful boat", Vanity replied.

Sorrow was a bit further so love decided to ask her for help. "Sorrow, let me come with you". "Oh Love, I am so sad that i just want to be left alone", Sorrow said.

Happiness passed in front of Love, but she also didn't pay attention to her.
She was so happy, that she didn't even hear Love asking for help.

Suddenly a voice spoke:
"Love, come towards me, I will take you with me".
It was an elderly guy that Love didn't know, but was so full of gratitude for him, that she even forgot to ask his name. When they reached the shore, he left and went on his way. Love, knowing how much he owed to the person that helped her, she asked Wisdom. "Wisdom, who was the guy that helped me". "Time", Wisdom replied.
"Time?" Love asked. "Why did Time help me?"
Then Wisdom smiled and with real wisdom she said to her:

"Only Time can understand the importance of Love"

Her

I've got myself a girlfriend

She fits with me in so many ways

She makes me smile
Teases me
Jokes with me
Sometimes i burst in laughter when I am with her.

She takes me in her arms when I am weak
Holds me tight
And lets me cry away my sorrow.

She is great in bed
Even provokes new fantasies.

Sometimes she gets up in the middle of the night
and she hides
I always wake up and have to find her at her hiding place so we can fall into our pillows again
and sleep.

Other times we just stay and stare at each other,
no words,
just holding hands.

She is always kind and gentle at me.

Sometimes that's a bit too much.

Some moments, like this specific one,

i just can't stand her.

But i adore her.
She is my muse.
Her name is Silence.
